Fragment from the upper left corner of a relief plaque that depicted Athena mounting a chariot. It was unearthed during one of the Acropolis excavation campaigns.

Preserved is the biggest part of the owl, the goddess’ bird-symbol. The fragment surface retains white slip that was used as the undercoat for the final painting. Traces of yellow, light-blue, red and black colour are also preserved. Part of the suspension hole to the left can still be seen.
